Read about Ernest Shackleton, the great Antararctic explorer. He was stranded on the ice for two years, but somehow managed to bring every single one of his men back alive.
"Shackleton knew his toughest fight would be keeping up the morale of his men. They would need to keep level heads and work together if they were to survive. To keep spirits up, he organized events for the crew. The would put on skits, singing contests, and even held a dog derby with the sled dogs they had brought along. "Personality": defined as the complex of all the attributes--behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental that characterize a unique individual.
We use the term 'personality' quite a bit. But what does that mean exactly?
The Myers-Briggs Type Sorter is based upon work originally done by Carl Jung many years previous. Used in counseling, training, and in workplaces throughout the world, the test is based on four preferences: how you prefer to direct your energies, how you prefer to process information, how do you prefer to make decisions, and how do you organize your life. Once you learn how to sort (using either/or), then "typing" someone is relatively easy.

The MY HERO PROJECT website has a section devoted to short videos produced about real heroes: people in communities everywhere that work to make a difference or who have inspired and touched lives. These videos may be "amateur" but they are excellent.
I recommend the videos entitled "Cookie Girl in the Hot Zone" (about a 12 year old girl who baked cookies for rescue workers at the World Trade Center on 9/11) and "Get a Clue" (about blind students in a K - 6 school who focus on their abilities rather than disabilities).
